Phoenix Artist Antoinette Cauley Art is full of youth, expression and Hip Hop culture. One can even describe Antoinette’s Masterpieces as daring. The personality of her artwork definitely sends a message.
Antoinette was named the 2017 and 2018 AZ Foothills Magazine’s Best Local Artist. Also has been interviewed by the Phoenix Art Museum and ran life drawing workshops through the opening night of the exhibition, which the museum broke a record for most people in attendance, with over 7,000 people.
Antoinette Cauley painted custom boxing gloves for Evander Holyfield which were presented at the Boys & Girls of the East Valley’s “Night of Champions” fundraiser. Holyfield kept a glove and the other was auctioned off for $5,000 to support the Boys & Girls Club youth.
Back in 2017 Antoinette Cauley had a fine art event called “Love Live The Rose That Grew From The Concrete”, also recently celebrated her first solo art exhibition at the MonOrchid gallery, “Ain’t Nobody Prayin’ For Me” which is currently going on March 15 – June 7, 2019,
Carley worked with youth ages 5-18 teaching art classes on drawing and painting, working with the NAACP East Valley Chapter as a Youth Committee Chair to develop and grow their youth department.
Antoinette’s recent piece is titled “I Put My Right Hand to God”, she was creating the piece while on the phone with Nipsey Hussle’s Mother, as Cauley is a Huge fan of Nipsey’s music and the many things he has accomplished as well as done for the community before the late rappers passing this past March. Cauley describes working on piece and speaking to Nipsey’s Mom as being very therapeutic and the work is described as a self portrait.
Antoinette Cauley has been feature in Java Magazine, Uptown Magazine, interview by American Art Collector Magazine and has been awarded 1st place at Artlink’s 19th Annual Juried Exhibition, delivered a keynote speech at the 2018 Arizona Art Education Association Annual Conference and has had pieces share on the Shade Room Instagram page continuously.
